Meet The Team

Bookkeeper (full-time or part-time)

We are looking for bookkeepers to deal with a portfolio of clients and manage their bookkeeping requirements, working alongside our client managers and accounts seniors. Practice or a wide variety of bookkeeping experience is essential.

The role will generally include (but not limited to):

  • Posting of purchase/sales invoices
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Preparing and posting accruals and prepayments
  • Posting fixed asset and depreciation adjustments
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns and managing the deadlines
  • Posting monthly journals
  • Petty cash posting and reconciliation
  • Review of key balances and highlighting issues to both clients and the client manager
  • Taking the accounting records to trial balance stage
  • Liaising with clients
  • Liaising with other staff during preparation of annual accounts

The most common software packages we use for bookkeeping are generally Sage, Xero and QuickBooks Online. Experience of these packages is desirable but not critical (we offer full support and training to obtain certification in each package). What is critical is a good understanding of double entry bookkeeping along with the right attitude.
